~Welcome~

Welcome! I am so glad you are here! This program will introduce and advance your child in the dance world. This is the perfect place to learn creative expression in a fun, stress-free environment. I am very excited to be bringing dance, tumbling, and cheer into Odessa and Lexington. I have 16 years of teaching experience and over a decade of being a dancer myself!  I cannot wait to teach and watch your child gain new skills and the self-confidence to strive.

Recreational Classes

Kids Dance & Tumble 1,2 & 3

Ballet, HipHop, & Tumbling for ages 3 to 6

This is a wonderful introduction to 3 different types of dance. 2 of 3 types of dance will be worked on per class. All of the basics and fundamentals of each style will be focused on. Your child will learn dance moves and combinations that are appropriate for their age group. Fundamental acro skills will be introduced and advanced accordingly. Physical conditioning is introduced while focusing on technical ability and flexibility. This class is high energy and very interactive. 

Students will need tan color jazz shoes.

Combo Dance

Ballet, Jazz, & HipHop for ages 7 to 12

This is a wonderful introduction to 3 different types of dance. 2 of 3 types of dance will be worked on per class. All of the basics and fundamentals of each style will be focused on. Your child will learn dance moves and combinations that are age appropriate for them. This is a high energy and very interactive class.

Students will need tan color jazz shoes.


HipHop/Tumble 

HipHop & Tumbling for ages 7 to 12

This is a wonderful introduction to HipHop dance and beginner level tumbling skills. Super high energy class. Physical conditional is introduced while focusing on technical ability and flexibility. Mastered skills will be turned into combinations. 

Girls will need black color jazz shoes.

Acro Level 1-3

Tumbling for ages 6-16

Acro will introduce basic fundamental skills starting with body control. Physical conditioning will be focused on while mastering technical ability and flexibility. Sports acro partner skills will be introduced. Mastered skills will turn into combinations. As their fundamental skills and strength improves floor tumbling skills will increase to a higher level. 

Students will go barefoot or anti-slip acro shoes.

 Not required but recommended.

Tumble/Cheer

Cheer, Stunts, & Jumps for ages 6-12

Cheer jumps, stunts, dance, and floor tumbling will be introduced. Students will develop their fundamental skills in tumbling and sports acro. Physical conditional is emphasized while focusing on technical ability. Basic floor tumbling skills will be introduced, an additional acro class is recommended. Cheer jumps and stunts will be emphasized. As skills are mastered higher level skills will be introduced. Attendance is VERY important as cheer is a team effort to achieve skills. 

Students will need white cheer shoes.

Tap

for ages 7-12

Tap dance is a style of dance in which rhythmic sounds are produced by moving the feet.  Rhythmic tap and Broadway tap will be introduced.  This is the perfect style for those that do not enjoy the strain of cheer or acro and the slower pace of ballet. Tap is high energy and up beat.

Students will need black tap shoes.

Film Stars!

for ages 7-12

This class will be active in ALL types of dance styles. They will learn short segments of dance and acting which will be filmed and edited to be published on UDA social media outlets. If you have a Tic Tok lover then this class is for them! 

Competition Teams

Competition Cheer

Cheer, Stunts, Jumps, & Tumbling for ages 7-15

Cheer jumps, stunts, dance, and floor tumbling will be introduced and advanced quickly. Students will develop their fundamental skills in jumps and stunt building. Physical conditioning is emphasized while focusing on technical ability. Basic floor tumbling skills will be introduced, an additional acro class is highly recommended. Cheer jumps and stunts will be emphasized. Attendance is VERY important as cheer is a team effort to achieve skills. To many absences could result in termination from the team. 

Students will need white cheer shoes. Recital fee will only cover 1 uniform which will be worn in both recital routines

NAC

National Acrobats Competitions for ages 5-12

 During class, students work on a tumbling routine that is comparable to their level in tumbling. There are 10 levels in NAC – beginners through advanced tumbling. NAC routines consist of approximately 8-15 skills. Students may also compete in one of 5 levels on the Mini Trampoline. NAC classes focus on students working to perfect the skills in their routine and the Mini Tramp. Students compete this routine against students from different dance and tumbling studios in the greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Each student is then awarded a place for their performance. The competitions are usually between 1 to 3 hours in length. Students compete in 5 competitions which are held in the Olathe KS area. Competitions are held in October and/or early November, late January, early February, and early March. An additional acro class is strongly recommended. 

Students will go barefoot or anti-slip acro shoes.

 Not required but recommended.

Recital fee will only cover 1 leotard which will be worn in both recital routines

All recreational classes will perform in our Christmas Recital.

 Competition teams will depend on progress.

Both recreational and competition teams will perform in the

 Year End Recital in May!
